Print durability is the test method to check the change in shade, streaks and appearance after wash.
Print durability is not a standard test method of ISO,BS,or EN.A number of basically similar tests are specified by various store groups in the UK for assessing the durability of print to washing.
Each store group has its own procedure to check the durability of print to washing.
The most representative test for durability is ,
Wash the fabric in washing machine for 15 minutes at 50*C with 4 g/l ECE detergent 1g/l sodium Perborate.Then flat dry in air not more than 60*C. Then assess the change in shade in D-65 light with the grey scale.
In durability test method Streaks after wash is very difficult to control because this is not a pigment property .This test is mostly apply for reactive printing, because pigment is surface printing and there is always a chance of streaks after wash.
