This test method is used to check the change in shade and the staining on the adjacent fabric during washing with chlorine. This is a swear test and usually used for hospital sheeting's.

AATCC-61 is a laundering test which covers a range for Home and commercial laundering. There are five different tests under AATCC-61 method.

Where 61-1A,61-2A and 61-5A are washing test for home laundering.
While 61-3A and 61-4A are washing tests for Commercial laundering.
Each test method has its own parameters of Time, Temperature , Chemicals and liquor ratio .
This single test is equal to 5 home and commercial launderings.AATCC-61-1A
Maximum Achievable results under these conditions are
For Pigment Printed fabric - Dark Shades:4 (Try to Commit 3-4)
- Medium Shades:3
- Light Shades:3
For Reactive ,Disperse and Direct Dyed fabric
Never try to Commit the Chlorine washing test for reactive and direct dyed fabric .
Reactive and Direct dyes are not stable for chlorine washing.
Chlorine test is only applicable for Pigment and Vat Dyed fabric. |
